About the Opportunity

Step into a vital role as a Mental Health Triage Clinician, acting as the first point of contact for individuals accessing mental health services. Based in a rural Queensland community, this position offers the chance to work in a values-led, supportive team that prioritises clinical excellence and patient-centred care.

This is a full-time permanent position (38–40 hours per week, Monday to Friday), offering excellent work-life balance with no shift work or overtime required. You’ll have the autonomy to make clinical decisions while being backed by a collaborative acute mental health team and an engaged clinical leader.

Skills and Experience

Essential

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in mental health nursing
• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
• Strong clinical TRIAGE, assessment and communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team

Desirable

• Previous experience in rural or remote healthcare
• Familiarity with Queensland Mental Health Act 2016
• Competency in CIMHA and electronic health record systems
